page on the driver's app is where the drivers can be able to view their logs, trip inspections, documents, and edits waiting from the dispatch.

As soon as drivers click on the View Logs, they can be able to see their current day's log as shown in the below image. 

Note: The Switchboard application can only show you the previous 14 days' worth of logs on the application. 

If you wish to view logs further in the past, you will have to do so on the Switchboard Cloud Platform. To learn more, go here:

To view the RECAP ONDUTY hours of the current cycle, please click on the RECAP button present on the lefthand bottom of the screen as shown in the below images.

Once you click the RECAP button the below screen pops out with the information on On-Duty time spent by the drivers in the past 6 days.

Drivers can be able to share the logs VIA email and FAX. The share logs option is present on the top right of the page. Please check the below image to navigate.

Once you click on the SHARE LOGS option EMAIL and FAX Options pop up. See the image below.

Once you click on the EMAIL or FAX options, the app will display to choose the options whether to share the previous 7 days' logs, or Previous 14 days' logs, or the Current day's log. And then once the driver chooses any one of the options above and then type in the email address and Click send MAIL or FAX.

Viewing Hours-of-Service Logs

Setting HOS Duty Statuses will be the primary tasks that your driver will be performing when your drivers are operating the Switchboard Electronic Logs.

Once you're in the Driver Screen, you'll be able to set the Duty Statuses. Here you can view simple timers on how much driving/on-duty/cycle timers you have left.

Whenever you are in each duty status, select that duty status button. For example, when you are On-Duty, press the 

 button. An annotations screen should pop up.

On the annotations screen, select the appropriate annotation for that duty status. If you have any more comments, enter it in the comments section.

And that is it! From recording duty statuses, your logs should be automatically created!

Setting HOS Duty Statuses

Switchboard allows you to create compliance Trip Inspections & Digital Vehicle Inspection Records. 

You can complete a Trip Inspection through the On-Duty Status Change, or manually creating one in the Trip Inspection Page.

Method 1: Starting an inspection from the Driver Screen

When On-Duty is selected, a list of annotations can be selected for the duty status change. Select 

. When those annotations are selected, then the Trip Inspection Screen will pop up.

Method 2: Starting an inspection from the Trip Inspection Screen

From the Trip Inspection screen, you'll be able to see the various Trip Inspections that have been completed.

To fill out a Trip Inspection, select the red (+) button on the bottom right of the screen. Select "New Pre-Trip" or "New Post-Trip" to create a new trip inspection.

From the Trip Inspection Screen, you can enter the following information:

 The number/ID of your vehicle. To set a new vehicle, log out, then log back in.

 The odometer reading of your vehicle. The miles/km is usually automatically entered from your Switchboard Engine Module.

The location of your vehicle. The location is usually automatically entered from your Switchboard Satellite GPS.

If you have any defects on your truck or trailer, click "Add" for each of the defects. You will be able to enter a defect and any comments regarding that defect.

Entering Trip Inspections / DVIRs

Switchboard allows you to show your hours-of-service logs to officers, as well as send them to the DOT or NSC via encrypted web/email services.

On the Tablet, select the "Show Officer" button.

Editing Hours-of-Service Logs - Switchboard Driver Application

Switchboard allows you to use the Split-Sleeper provision on your Switchboard hours-of-service logs.

After selecting the Split Sleeper button, you can your Split Sleeper sections generated by Switchboard.

For each Split Sleeper section, you are able to disable and re-enable the section. If you do not want to consider a Sleeper Berth period for Split Sleeper, select the toggle button to turn it off.

Note that this is only for the US Split Sleeper rule, not Canadian Split Sleeper. Canadian Split Sleeper rules are calculated in the background.

Keep in mind your timers and violations will be recalculated based on your choice.

If you want to review the details of each Split Sleeper, simply just click the card to expand more details.

In the Split Sleeper expanded details, you can see the highlighted two breaks in yellow on the HOS graph; you will also see the duration, duty status type, and start/end time of each break in the expanded view.

You don't use the above feature to activate Split Sleeper. 

Split Sleeper periods are auto-calculated in the background, and all the Split Sleeper pairs are auto enabled by default 

so that you can get the most amount of available shift hours without worrying about manually selecting a Split Sleeper.
